Airalo eSIM Not Connecting to Network? Troubleshooting Guide
Airalo eSIM Not Connecting to Network? Troubleshooting Guide
Installed your Airalo eSIM but it's not connecting at your destination? The causes are limited and the fixes are practical. Follow the steps in order.
Common causes and their fixes
1. Not activated before arriving Most Airalo plans start on first network connection at the destination, but installation must happen on Wi-Fi before travelling. If you didn't install before departure, connect to hotel or airport Wi-Fi and restart your phone.
2. Cellular data not enabled for the eSIM line
- On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → select the eSIM line → confirm Turn On This Line and Data Roaming are enabled.
- On Android: Settings → Network → SIM → select the eSIM → enable data.
3. Phone set to use a different SIM for data On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → confirm the eSIM is selected as the data source.
4. Incorrect APN settings Some Android devices need APN settings entered manually. Go back to the Airalo app and look for APN instructions specific to the plan you bought.
5. Plan expired or data exhausted Open the Airalo app and check your plan balance and expiry date.
If the problem persists
- Restart your phone.
- Switch to Airplane Mode, wait 10 seconds, then switch back.
- Contact Airalo support directly from the app, or reach Tether.sa with your order details.
