Airalo eSIM Not Connecting? Causes & Fixes
Bought an Airalo eSIM, arrived at your destination, and the internet isn't working? The most common cause is very simple: Data Roaming is off. Here are the common causes and fixes in order.
Causes and fixes
1. Data Roaming is off Open Settings › Cellular/Mobile Data › Airalo plan › Enable Data Roaming. On Android: Settings › Network › SIM data › Data Roaming.
2. Wrong SIM selected for data If another SIM is installed, make sure Airalo is set as the data SIM: Settings › Cellular/Mobile Data › Cellular Data and choose Airalo.
3. eSIM not fully installed Confirm the eSIM is fully installed and activated. Open the Airalo app and check its status.
4. Wrong APN settings Some devices need a manual APN entry. Check the Airalo app or website for your plan's network settings and enter them manually.
5. Network coverage issue The plan works via specific partner networks. If you're in a remote area, try switching the network manually in settings.
6. Restart the phone Power the phone fully off and back on — this resolves many network registration issues.
If the problem persists
Contact Airalo support directly, or message us on WhatsApp with your phone model, destination, and eSIM status.
